Erica Sou Sin U

Macao pianist Erica Sou Sin U began studying piano at a young age and developed a passion for the arts. She is a Trinity College of Music Licentiate Diploma Distinction holder. In 2015, she was admitted to the Junior Music Programme at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, receiving scholarships over the years, where she studied with renowned piano educator Professor Eleanor Wong. She is currently under Professor Colin Stone at the Royal Academy of Music.

Erica recently attended the Cambridge International Piano Festival & Academy, attending masterclasses by Boris Berman, Norika Ogawa, and Pasquale Iannone, and was awarded 1st runner-up in the Cambridge International Piano Festival Competition.  She also received the Bronze Prize in the "International Piano Competition Belgium". Other awards from various competitions over the years include the "Best Performance" and "Most Talented Prize" at the Macao Young Musicians Competitions, First Prize winner at the Steinway & Sons International Youth Piano Competition, United States Open Music Competition,  Nobel-Artist International Music Competition, Osaka International Music Competition,  KAWAI Asia Piano Competition, PREMIA International Young Artists Music Festival,  and 2024“Sound of Music” Australia - China International Music & Arts Competition. 

Erica has performed as a soloist and ensemble musician in concerts throughout the United Kingdom, Vienna, Macau, Hong Kong, Zhuhai, and Shenzhen. She has performed multiple solo recitals, including in venues and events such as Steinway & Sons Gallery Hong Kong, London Northwood Synagogue, Macau Cultural Centre, Macau Miltary Club, the “Young Talents” Series for The Chopin Society at Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall, Macau Music AMADEUS Vienna Music Concert Tour and so on. As the Champion of the Macao Young Musicians Competition Concerto Category, she performed the Mozart Piano Concerto with the Macao Orchestra at the " Flourishing Arts" Concert and was invited to perform at the Macau Shenzhen Economic and Cultural Promotion Association Founding Ceremony and Galaxy Group Andaz Macau Opening.
