Xin Li

Xin Li began studying the electronic organ at the age of five and transitioned to piano at eleven. A graduate of Xinghai Conservatory of Music, he is currently studying under Ms. He Chenfang, Honorary Master’s graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music in the United Kingdom. Over the years, Xin Li has also received guidance from Mr. Huang Yehui, Associate Professor of Piano at Xinghai Conservatory; Professor Kong Jianing of the Royal Academy of Music in London; Hong Kong pianist Yang Xili; Mr. Chai Congcong of Wuhan Conservatory of Music; Steinway Artist Shen Shizhe; and German pianist Professor Roy Schnaer.

Xin Li has achieved recognition in numerous competitions. Highlights include the Special Prize with the highest score in the semifinals of the 5th Wiesbaden International Piano Competition, First Prize with the highest score in the Free Choice Group A of the 2016 Liszt Memorial Award (Haikou Division), and First Prize in the 2017 Pearl River Kayserburg Piano Competition (Haikou Division). In 2018, he received the Special Prize in the Free Choice High School Group of the American Federation Piano Open Competition (Haikou Division), followed in 2019 by First Prize in the Haikou Division of the “Tribute to Beethoven” Second SAE National Youth Piano Competition and the German Rhine Classical International Piano Competition.

Further distinctions include the Excellence Award in the final round of the 1st Piano Skills Competition and Yamaha Scholarship Contest at Xinghai Conservatory of Music, First Prize in the Youth Division of the 10th Macau Piano Invitational Competition, and the Excellence Award at the 13th China Golden Bell Award for Music. More recently, Xin Li earned First Prize in the Higher Education Music Discipline Group of the 6th American Federation Piano Open Competition (Haikou Division) and First Prize in the Youth Open Division of the 4th Germany Lonisch International Piano Competition (Haikou Division).
