The London Overseas Musicians League (LOML) is set to host the much-anticipated LOML International Piano Festival 2024 at the prestigious Tonbridge School in Tonbridge, TN9 1JP, from August 6th to August 10th. This festival promises to be an extraordinary event, celebrating the finest in piano music with a stellar lineup of concerts, a prestigious competition, and a grand finale featuring the London City Philharmonic, conducted by Olsi Qinami.
The festival will commence with a piano recital by the internationally acclaimed pianist Burkard Schliessmann. Known for his profound interpretations and technical brilliance, Schliessmann’s performance is eagerly awaited by classical music aficionados. Following Schliessmann’s recital, the LOML International Piano Competition will take centre stage. The competition will culminate in an Online Final Winners Concert, where the top finalists will be presented to a global audience.
The festival's program also features a distinguished faculty concert, bringing together world-renowned artists Joanna MacGregor, Bing Bing Li, Graham Scott, and Petras Geniušas. Each of these celebrated musicians will contribute their unique style and expertise to a diverse and enriching program. This faculty concert is also free entry, ensuring that more people can enjoy this exceptional musical event.
In addition, the festival will reach its zenith with a spectacular piano concerto performance by the London City Philharmonic. This concert will include works by legendary composers such as Chopin, Beethoven, Grieg, Schumann, and Shostakovich, among others.
