Yu Zheng

Young pianist Yu Zheng began learning the piano at the age of 6 and studied under Chinese concert pianist Yaoying Wang from the age of 8. She won a gold medal in the intermediate performance group of the 2020-2021 London Youth Musicians China Spring Competition. In 2023, she secured first prize in Group B1 of the Shanghai branch of the 11th Steinway National Youth Piano Competition and later won top honours in the 7th KAWAI Asian Piano Competition. In 2024, Yu won the Children's F Group at the Philharmonic Huasheng International Piano Art Festival, progressing to the finals in South Korea. Yu Zheng has achieved all her ABRSM piano performance grades with distinction.
