Yinzi Cao
Associate Artist
Yinzi Cao, a young British-trained pianist, holds the prestigious Artist Diploma—the highest performance credential in the UK. She serves as a full-time piano instructor at Beijing City University Performance Department and is a member of the World Piano Teachers Associations China Regional Expert Committee, as well as a board member of the Asian Pianists Association in Beijing. Her accolades include over twenty international piano awards and was appointed as the Associate Artist by the London Overseas Musicians League (LOML).
From childhood, she studied under Professor Yuan Ling, a renowned pianist and educator in China. In junior high school, she enrolled in the piano performance department at the Middle School Affiliated to the China Conservatory of Music, where she studied under Dr. Xuan Dong. Honored as an outstanding graduate of the high school, she was admitted to the piano performance department at the China Conservatory of Music. During her undergraduate studies, she studied under Professor Jingjing Lim and graduated with outstanding academic achievements. She also received postgraduate admission offers and scholarships from several prestigious conservatories in the UK and the US.
She later pursued advanced studies in the UK, earning a master degree at the Royal College of Music (London) under the mentorship of Professor Leon McCawley. After completing her masters, she continued her training with Professor Petras Geniusas, and was awarded an Artist Diploma by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. During her studies, she received guidance from many pianists and educators including Dmitri Alexeev, Vanessa Latarche, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Aaron Shorr, Dina Parakhina, Boris Berman, Pavel Gililov, Giuliano Mazzoccante, Christopher Elton, Bingbing Li, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Matti Raekallio, Jan Jiracek von Arnim, Pascal Nemirovsky and Craig Sheppard,etc. She was widely recognized as a young talent with exceptional potential.
Having performed at numerous international piano festivals, the artist has performed solo and ensemble concerts across multiple countries, with venues including Carnegie Weill Recital Hall in New York, Warner Concert Hall in the United States, Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall in London, Beijing Zhongshan Concert Hall, Austrian Cultural Forum in London, and Stevenson Hall in Scotland. A notable collaboration was with conductor Anatoli Štšura from the Narva Symphony Orchestra in Estonia, where they performed Beethovens Piano Concerto No.2 with enthusiastic acclaim. Following a performance at Germany, the Murrhardt Daily praised the artist for "skillfully conveying every nuance to captivate the audience."
After returning to China to teach, she hosted solo piano recitals and the nationwide tour of "Times Illusion: A Century of Imagination from Classical to Romantic", receiving acclaim from audiences across the country. She served as a judge for prestigious Chinese piano competitions including the Steinway Youth Piano
Competition, the Global Outstanding Chinese Artists Association International Music Competition, the Hannover International Music Competition, the Global Philharmonic Youth Music and Art Week, etc. Her students have won numerous awards in international and domestic piano competitions and been admitted to renowned music conservatories around the world.
