Michele Taraborrelli

Michele Taraborrelli, born in 1999, completed his piano studies at the “Luisa

D'Annunzio” Conservatory in Pescara, obtaining Master Degree at just 21 years

old under the guidance of Prof. Daniela De Ninis with a score of 110 /110 honors

and honorable mention. He also obtained a scholarship from the Inner Wheel Club

Pescara association as the best piano student of the year 2017/2018; furthermore

he was appointed “Cultore della materia” by the Conservatory in the 2020/2021

and reconfirmed in the academic year. 2021/2022.


He carried out his post-graduate internship at the “Joseph Haydn Conservatory” in

Eisenstadt (Austria) and is today among the very few pianists selected to obtain

the Master in Advance Studies at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland (Lugano)

in the class of M. Roberto Plano;


over the years he has perfected himself by participating in masterclasses and

annual courses with internationally renowned masters: Benedetto Lupo, Filippo

Gamba, Roberto Plano, Pierluigi Camicia, Ramin Bahrami, Frank Peters, Alexander

Kobrin, Frank van de Laar and Roberto Prosseda.


Recently winner of the 1st Prize at the Piano Competition of the Franz Liszt Center

and of the Special Prize for the best performance of a contemporary piece by M.

Raffaele Bellafronte at the international Musica Italia Grand Price Competition, over

the years he has been awarded in multiple national and international competitions:

international piano competition “Muzio Clementi” (Lugano), Classical Music

Competition (London), international music competition “Città di Gorizia” and

national chamber music competition “Bruno Mezzena”.


He holds recitals in numerous theatres, festivals and musical events in Italy,

Switzerland and Canada: Université du Québec (Montreal), Midnight Concerts

(Vasto), PianoLab (Martina Franca), PianoCity Lecce, Friuli-Concertante (Udine),

“Emerging Sonorities” (Società Riccitelli di Teramo), "Nuit europénne des Musée"

(Min. French culture), "Amami Teatro" (Marrucino theater in Chieti), 67th concert

season (Caniglia theater in Sulmona), and many others.


A poliedric musician, he graduated in clarinet at the Liceo Musicale of Vasto; he

has played in numerous youth orchestras covering a vast symphonic and operatic

repertoire; Fascinated by the world of jazz, he deepened his language by

participating in a seminar with famous jazz musicians (M. Grossi, L. Mannutza, M.

Di Battista, G. Esposito). He is currently a piano teacher at the Scuola Civica

Musicale “F. Ritucci Chinni” of Vasto.
